Luncheon will feature presentation on Shasta County’s economic future
WHAT: The Economic Development Corporation of Shasta County will host an annual luncheon featuring a “Powerful Economic Insights” presentation delivered by Jeff Thredgold, president of Thredgold Economic Associates. The presentation will provide an economic forecast of Shasta County and information on the effects of the nationwide economic downturn. Attendees will receive a copy of Jeff Thredgold’s book, “On the One Hand…The Economist’s Joke Book.”
The luncheon is co-sponsored by Redding Bank of Commerce, Record Searchlight, Redding Rancheria, and Redding Electric Utility.

Thredgold has 23 years of experience as vice president and chief economist for KeyCorp, one of the United States’ largest financial services companies. Thredgold is the author of “EconAmerica: Why the American Economy is Alive and Well and What That Means to Your Wallet,” “On the One Hand…The Economist’s Joke Book” and “A Parent’s Letter to My Children in School.”
